Mini-Mentor
BubbleCow mentoring gives writers the chance to work closely with successfully published authors. Writers receive regular support, editorial feedback and general advice on improving their book, whilst taking a huge step towards getting published.
Our mentoring programmes have been designed to fit with the needs of writers. This programme offers mentoring support throughout the writing process and provides focus and structure. It is ideal for writers who are writing short books, children’s fiction or simply wish to kick-start their writing.
How does it work?
Step 1: A suitable mentor is assigned and you are contacted directly to arrange a timetable for submitting your work. We are very flexible at this point and the mentoring programme can stretch over as long a time period as you feel is required. We recommend that your 45,000 word count submission is split into 3 x 15,000 words or 9 x 5,000 words.
Step 2: An email is sent detailing the agreement with your mentor. This gives you a written record of your submission goals and dates.
Step 3: You work on your book, submitting individual sections as arranged. Your mentor provides detailed feedback and comment each time.
